This tutorial will walk you through how to create an event on Mixlr.

TIP: You can schedule an event directly from your mobile app. Check out the Android or iOS Creators support articles to learn how to set up and start a new event on mobile.

You can create a new event from the Mixlr for Creators home page.

Click 'Schedule new event' and you'll be taken to the Schedule event screen.

Here you'll be able to enter the following information:

  • Event title

  • Start time and date

  • End time and date

  • Timezone

  • Event description

You can also add an image for your event, in either JPG or PNG.

TIP: if you don't add an event image, your default Artwork image will be displayed during the event.

Once your event is ready, click the 'Schedule event' at the bottom of the form to make it public.

Once the event has been created you'll be redirected to the Mixlr for Creators home page. If your event is due later today, you'll see it listed here.

If it's happening later, you can find it by clicking the the 'Manage your events' button.

Going live with an event

When the start time for your live event is approaching you'll see a notification in the Mixlr desktop app to let you know that it's ready for you to begin. You'll now be able to click ‘Start’ on your Mixlr desktop app to start the event. The event image, title, and other details will be automatically used for the broadcast.

If broadcasting from your mobile app, you will be able to tap on your scheduled event to broadcast live.
