After uploading a recording of your live event, you may want to download it to edit the recording in case you want to remove extra content, dead air, or process the audio file in another way.
Alternatively, if you have uploaded an external recording, you might realize that you’ve added the wrong audio file and you need to change it.
This article will show you how to upload a new audio file for an existing cloud recording.
Replacing cloud recordings with a new audio file is currently only available from the Creators site on the web.
Your Recordings page
Select the Recordings icon in the top right of your Creators dashboard to go to your Recordings page
From your Recordings page, select the recording you want to edit by tapping the ‘...’ icon
Choose Edit from the dropdown menu
This will bring up the Edit recording screen
Edit recording
On the Edit recording screen, scroll down the page and select Change audio file.
On the next screen you will be able to add your new audio file.
Drag and drop your recording, or select the red button to find the audio file from your local folders
Once you select your audio file, the upload will begin automatically (TIP: to cancel the upload, select the red ‘X’ icon)
When the upload is complete, the file will be transcoded
Once you see transcoding is complete, the new audio file will be available on your Channel for your listeners (or stored out of sight as a cloud recording, if you've made it private).
Now that you can update your existing cloud recordings, find out how to upload your external recordings.
