Update the access level for your uploaded recordings

Updated this week

Uploading your Mixlr recordings allows you to store all your recordings in one place online.

However, you may not want listeners to access every one of your recordings. This article will show you how to make recordings private.

Recordings page

To change the access level for one or more recordings, go to your Recordings page by selecting the Recordings icon in the top right of your Creators dashboard.

From your Recordings page, choose the recordings you'd like to update, then select Move to adjust their access level.

TIP: You can also move recordings to Trash from here to make room for more file uploads.

Access levels explained

There are three access level settings for your recordings:

  • Public recordings are accessible on your Channel

  • Unlisted recordings are not accessible on your Channel; only listeners with access to their direct URL can access them (they are also accessible in any Collections they’ve been added to)

  • Only me recordings are completely hidden from your listeners and only accessible by you via your Creators dashboard

After selecting the new access level, the recordings will be moved to their new folder in your Creators space.

Access level tabs

You can view your recordings at any time by access level (or by selecting ALL).

You can make recordings publicly available again at any time by selecting them and moving them back to Public.

If your Channel is private, your recordings will only be accessible via your access code. Find out how to make your Channel private here.
