By default your live events will show a live listener count. This displays how many listeners are currently tuned in. Some creators may prefer this information to be hidden. This article will show you how to hide your live listener count on your live events and Live Player.

TIP: currently it’s not possible to have a different setting for your embedded Live Player. Your Live Player will have the same setting for any individual event as your live event on your channel.

Before going live

You can hide your live listener count either if you’re scheduling an event in advance, or if you’re selecting ‘Go live now’.

If you’re scheduling in advance, you’ll find this in the Event options section of the Schedule event form.

If this has a checkmark against it, the live listener count will be displayed; if the checkmark is removed, the live listener count is hidden.

Once you have set your preferred setting, scroll down the page and select ‘Schedule event’.

If you’re selecting ‘Go live now’, this option is within the Edit event menu on the broadcast screen:

If this has a checkmark against it, the live listener count will be displayed; if the checkmark is removed, the live listener count is hidden.

Once you have set your preferred setting, scroll down the page and select ‘Save’.

While you're live

If you’re already on air, you can enable or disable the live listener count via the Edit event menu.

If this has a checkmark against it, the live listener count will be displayed; if the checkmark is removed, the live listener count is hidden.

Once you have set your preferred setting, scroll down the page and select ‘Save’.

TIP: if you hide your live listener count this will still be displayed to you as the creator in the creator app, but it will be hidden to all listeners.
