Add recordings to the cloud and make them publicly available on your channel

Updated over a week ago

Your recordings can either be saved on your device (a local recording) or uploaded online (a cloud recording).

This article will show you how to upload your recordings to the cloud.

Uploading your recordings to the cloud will free up local disk space and also make your recordings accessible to listeners on your channel.

If you have recordings enabled, your broadcast events will be recorded as audio files to a local folder, which can be accessed via your Recordings window.

Open your Recordings window

There are two ways to open your Recordings window from your Creators desktop or mobile apps:

  • After ending a live event, you'll see an option to View saved recording. Select this to open your Recordings window.

  • From your app's task bar, select the Recordings tab > Choose Local recordings from the options listed.

Upload your recording

You'll see the local audio file that you want to upload from your Recordings window. To upload this file, select the upload arrow icon displayed.

Save to complete upload

While your audio file is being uploaded, you can also edit its title, description, access level, podcast (RSS) feed setting or artwork.

Hit Save once you're happy with the recording details and to complete the upload.

Important: If you don’t select Save, the file may appear as an incomplete recording in your dashboard’s Recordings page and it won’t appear on your channel.

Now that you have uploaded a recording, find out how to download it to your computer or mobile device.
