Record audio in Mixlr Studio

Use Mixlr Studio to record a high-quality audio file without going live.

Mixlr Studio lets you record audio without broadcasting. You can use all the same input channels you would use for a live event — the result is a high-quality WAV file saved to your device.

Note: If you want to record and go live at the same time, recording is available as part of a live broadcast. This article covers standalone recording only.

Start recording

In the Recording area on the right side of Mixlr Studio, select the RECORD button.

The waveform area activates and a red recording indicator line appears above it to show that recording is in progress.

Stop recording

To stop, select the STOP button in the Recording area.

Your recording is saved to your device and opens automatically in a new tab in the Recordings window.

What's next

From the Recordings window you can edit the recording before uploading, or upload it directly to your channel.
