Upload your broadcast recordings

After a live broadcast, your recording is saved locally on your device. You can upload it to the cloud from within the app — this makes it available on your Recordings page, where you can manage, share, and organise it alongside your other content.

Note: The number of recordings you can upload depends on your plan. See our plans.

Step 1: Find your saved recording

There are two ways to get to your locally saved recordings:

After a live event

• Mixlr Studio: the recording opens automatically in the Recordings window as soon as the broadcast ends.

• Mixlr for Creators (mobile): a confirmation screen will appear. Select View saved recording to go directly to the recording.

Via the Recordings tab

• Mixlr Studio: in the menu bar, select Recordings > Recordings. Select the recording you want to upload from the Library to open it, then select the Upload button.

• Mixlr for Creators (mobile): select the Recordings tab at the bottom > On my device.

Step 2: Upload your recording

• Mixlr Studio: select the recording you want to upload from the Library to open it, then select the Upload button.

• Mixlr for Creators (mobile): find the recording you want to upload and select the upload arrow icon next to it.

Note: Recordings that have already been uploaded are shown in green. You can delete a locally saved file after uploading by selecting the trash icon.

Step 3: Add details and save

While the recording uploads, you can edit its details:

• Title

• Description

• Access level — Public, Unlisted, or Only me

• Podcast (RSS) feed — whether the recording is included in your podcast feed

• Artwork

Select Save when you're done to complete the upload.

Important: If you close the screen without selecting Save, the recording will appear as incomplete on your Recordings page and won't be visible on your channel.
