Import a recording in Mixlr Studio
Bring an external audio file into Mixlr Studio to edit it before uploading it to your channel.
Mixlr Studio lets you import audio files recorded outside of Mixlr directly into the app. Once imported, you can edit the recording — trimming, fading, or normalising — before uploading it to your channel. All audio file formats are supported.
Import a recording
1. In the menu bar, select Recordings > Recordings to open the Recordings window.
2. Select Import recording.
3. A file browser will open. Find and select the audio file you want to import.
The file opens in a new tab in the Recordings window, ready to edit.
Important: After importing, make sure to select Save before closing the tab — if you close without saving, the imported file will be lost.
