Turn chat on or off
Enable or disable live chat for your Mixlr events from your default settings or the broadcast screen.
Chat is enabled by default on all your live events. You can turn it off globally from your default event settings, or toggle it for an individual event from the broadcast screen.

Turn chat on or off
1. Go to Creators dashboard > Settings > Live events: https://creators.mixlr.com/settings/live-events/edit
2. Scroll to the Event chat section.
3. To turn chat off: check the Disable chat box, then select Save.
4. To turn chat on: uncheck the Disable chat box, then select Save.
Tip: changing your default chat setting will not affect chat if you are currently live. To enable or disable chat while live, edit the event via the Edit Event screen.
Enable or disable GIFs in chat
When chat is turned on, you can also control whether GIFs can be posted. In the Event chat section of your Live events settings, check or uncheck GIFs in chat enabled, then select Save.
Note: GIFs can only be enabled when chat is turned on. If chat is disabled, the GIF setting will be unavailable.
