Set up an automatic fallback stream
Keep your Mixlr channel broadcasting automatically with pre-recorded audio when you're not live.
The automatic fallback stream plays your pre-recorded audio on your Mixlr channel whenever you're not broadcasting live. It's useful for keeping your channel on air around the clock, or as a safety net if you experience a technical issue and can't get back on air straight away.

Before you start
1. Create a collection of uploaded recordings.

Enable fallback
1. Go to your Creators dashboard: https://creators.mixlr.com/ and select Automation > Fallback from the sidebar. You can also go directly to creators.mixlr.com/settings/fallback/edit.
2. Switch the toggle from Off to On.
3. Select a collection of recordings to use as your fallback audio.
4. Choose your chat and hearting preferences for when the fallback is active.
5. Select Save settings.
Note: Once enabled, the fallback plays on your channel whenever you're not live and no automated event is running. When a live broadcast or automated event ends, the fallback restarts immediately.
Change your fallback collection
To switch to a different collection of recordings:
1. Go to creators.mixlr.com/settings/fallback/edit, or navigate to Automation > Fallback from your Creators dashboard.
2. Select a different collection from the dropdown, or add a new collection.
3. Select Save & restart.
