Create collections of uploaded recordings
Group your Mixlr recordings into collections to organise your content and use them for automated streaming.
Collections let you group related recordings together on your Mixlr channel. They're useful if your channel has varied content — for example, shows by different hosts, recordings from different events, or audio split across topics. Collections can also be used as fallback audio to keep your channel on air when you're not live, or scheduled to stream automatically at a set time.

Note: If you don't have any recordings yet, start by uploading or recording your first audio. See Upload your recordings.
Create a new collection
1. Go to your Recordings page: https://creators.mixlr.com/recordings
• Mixlr for Creators (mobile): select the Recordings tab > Cloud recordings
• Mixlr Studio (desktop): in the menu bar, select Recordings > Cloud recordings
• Web (Creators dashboard): select the Recordings icon from the left-hand navigation
2. Select the recordings you want to include by ticking the checkbox next to each one.
3. At the top of the Recordings page, select the +Collection button, then select +Add collection.
4. Fill in your collection details:
• Title (required) — the name of your collection
• Description — a short description of what the collection contains
• Access level — choose who can access the collection. See [→ LINK: Change your recordings to private].
• Artwork — an image to represent your collection
5. Select Create collection.
Tip: You can also create an empty collection first and add recordings later. From your Recordings page, select the Collections tab, then select Add collection.
Add recordings to an existing collection
1. On your Recordings page: https://creators.mixlr.com/recordings tick the checkbox next to each recording you want to add.
2. Select the +Collection button.
3. Your existing collections will appear as options in the dropdown. Select the collection you want to add the recordings to.
Tip: You can also assign a recording to a collection by editing its details individually. See Edit your audio recording details.
Reordering recordings in a collection
Once your collection is set up, you can change the order recordings appear in. See Change the order of your recordings in a collection.
