Using third-party streaming services with Mixlr

Create your stream key and send live audio content to your Mixlr channel using OBS, YoloBox, Restream and more

Updated this week

If you use other streaming services to broadcast live, you can send the audio content directly to Mixlr to be live streamed.

This article will show you how to create your stream key so you can send live audio content to your Mixlr channel using OBS, YoloBox, Restream and more.

Schedule an event

  1. From the dashboard of the Mixlr Creators app or Mixlr Creators space on the web, select Schedule

  2. Add your event details and choose your event settings (this setup will determine the features available for your live event), then select the button Schedule event

  3. From the newly-created event page, scroll down to Stream keys and select Create stream key

  4. Copy and paste the relevant server URL and RTMP keys into your third-party streaming service

Once you start broadcasting with your third-party streaming service, your Mixlr channel will go live with your broadcast’s audio content.

When you end the broadcast on your third-party streaming service, the live audio on your Mixlr channel will end too.

Stream keys expire 24 hours after your scheduled event’s end time.

If you are broadcasting 24/7, you will be able to continue broadcasting as long as you start your broadcast before the stream key expires.

Important: Ensure that you have recordings enabled within your third-party streaming service if you want to upload an audio file recording to your channel.
