What do the connection status icons in Mixlr Studio mean?

Understand what the Network, Mixlr, and Streaming indicators are showing during your broadcast.

In the top right corner of the Mixlr Studio waveform, there are three connection status icons. Select them at any time to see a breakdown of each connection's current status, with a short note under each one explaining why it's the colour it is.

Status colours

• Green — everything is working normally

• Orange — slower than usual, or Mixlr Studio is reconnecting automatically

• Red — the connection has been lost

Before you go live, the Streaming icon shows an outline instead of a filled dot: a green outline means you're ready to broadcast, an orange outline means there's no internet connection right now.

Tip: If you see orange or red, select the icons and read the note under each one — it usually tells you which side the problem is on. Mixlr Studio will attempt to reconnect on its own; you shouldn't need to restart the app.

The three icons

Each icon monitors a different part of your connection, and each one works independently — a problem with one won't affect the others.

Note: The Network icon checks your own internet connection, not Mixlr's servers — so a problem at Mixlr won't change it, and a problem with your connection is the first place to look if all three icons change at once.

Note: The Mixlr connection handles stats, reactions and chat only. If it shows orange or red during a broadcast, your audio is still reaching listeners — you'll just be without the live listener count until it reconnects.

Note: If Streaming is orange while Network is green, the problem is between you and Mixlr's streaming server rather than your internet. It usually clears on its own within a few seconds. If it keeps happening, try a lower stream quality.
