Troubleshooting problems when going live

If you're having trouble going live or your stream is unstable, these three checks resolve the most common causes.

Check your network connection

Make sure your internet connection is solid and stable. If others are sharing your network, or you have apps running in the background that use bandwidth, try switching networks or closing any apps that could be competing for bandwidth.

Check your firewall settings

Your firewall may be blocking your connection to Mixlr. If you think this is the cause, whitelist *.mixlr.com to allow all the URLs Mixlr needs to connect. The ports that need to be open are 80 and 443.

Check your app version

You may be running an older, unsupported version of Mixlr for Creators. Download the latest version at https://creators.mixlr.com/download.
