Mixlr can't detect my audio on Mac

How to grant Mixlr microphone access in macOS so your audio devices are detected.

If you've selected an audio input in Mixlr but no signal is being detected, macOS may be blocking Mixlr from accessing your microphone. This is controlled by a privacy setting you can update in a few steps.

Grant microphone access

1. Open System Settings from the Dock or Apple menu.

2. Select Privacy & Security.

3. Select Microphone.

4. Find Mixlr in the list and make sure the toggle next to it is turned on.

Once permission is granted, Mixlr will be able to detect your microphone and any other audio device connected to your Mac.

Note: If Mixlr doesn't appear in the list, try opening Mixlr Studio first, then return to this settings page — it will appear once the app has requested access.

Still no signal?

If audio still isn't detected after granting permission, contact our support team at https://mixlr.com/help/contact.
