Change the recording storage location in Mixlr Studio
Set a custom folder on your device where Mixlr Studio saves your local recordings.
By default, Mixlr Studio saves your local recordings to a preset folder on your device. You can change this to any location you prefer — including a cloud-synced folder like Dropbox or iCloud.
Change the recording location
1. In the Recording section on the right side of Mixlr Studio, select the settings icon (gear).
2. The Output Settings window will open on the Recording tab.
3. Your current Recording Location is shown. Select Browse to choose a new folder.
4. Navigate to your preferred folder and confirm your selection.
Note: Changing the recording location only affects new recordings. Existing recordings remain in the location where they were originally saved.

Can I use a cloud storage folder such as Dropbox or iCloud?
Yes — cloud storage locations are fully supported.
Will I still be able to access my older recordings after changing the location?
Yes. All existing recordings remain accessible via your Recordings window. Each recording is stored in whichever location was set at the time it was made.
