Uploading your Mixlr recordings allows you to store all your recordings in one place online.
However, you may want some recordings to be accessible to your listeners, and others to be private. This article will show you how to update the access level for one or more of your uploaded recordings.
Recordings page
1. From your Creators dashboard, head to your Recordings page:
On mobile: select the Recordings tab on the bottom right > Cloud recordings > you'll see your Recordings page
On desktop: select the Recordings tab from the taskbar > Cloud recordings > you'll be taken directly to your Recordings page
On the web: select the Recordings icon in the top right > you'll be taken directly to your Recordings page
2. Select the recordings that you want to change to private by adding a tick ✔️ next to it
It's also possible to edit an individual recording's details and change the access level alongside other recording details such as title, artwork and more.
3. After choosing your recordings, select the Move button and from the dropdown menu that appears, select your preferred access level
Pro Tip: A recording's access level can be set by default via your Creators channel settings for recordings.
Access levels explained
There are three access level settings for your recordings:
Public recordings are accessible on your channel
Unlisted recordings are not displayed on your channel's main page or Recordings page, so this is a useful option if you want to share a recording with specific listeners by sending them the direct URL (they are also accessible in any Collections they’ve been added to)
Only me recordings are completely hidden from your listeners and only accessible by you via your Creators dashboard
Pro Tip: Add your public or unlisted recordings to a collection if you want to share curated audio content with a select audience.
Access level tabs
After selecting the new access level, the recordings will be moved to their new folder in your Creators space, which you can view at any time by selecting the access level tab (or by selecting ALL):
You can also make recordings publicly available again at any time by following the steps above and moving them back to Public instead of a private access level.
If your Channel is private, your recordings will only be accessible via your access code. Find out how to make your Channel private here.
