Mixlr AudioLink is an audio device which is downloaded automatically when you install the Mixlr desktop app. If you're having any issues locating Mixlr AudioLink after installing the desktop app, this article will help with some alternative options.

Mac

Newer Macs utilizing the M1 chip may not be able to run Mixlr AudioLink. If you're using a newer Mac, and you're unable to find Mixlr AudioLink as an input option after installing the desktop app, one alternative is BlackHole. This is an audio device which works in the exact same way as Mixlr AudioLink.

You can install BlackHole here: https://existential.audio/blackhole/

You'll be asked to enter your email address. They will then send a link for you to download BlackHole. On the subsequent page you will be given a few options; select 'BlackHole 2ch'.

Windows

If you're a Windows user and you can't find Mixlr AudioLink as an input option after installing the desktop app, the most likely issue is that Windows can't verify the digital signature for Mixlr AudioLink.

If you're running into this issue on Windows we recommend using VoiceMeeter as an alternative. This is an audio device which works in a similar way to Mixlr AudioLink.

To install this device, visit the link below and scroll down the page to select 'Install'.

Once it has downloaded, run the file and then follow the prompts to install VoiceMeeter on your machine.

Once it's installed you'll be able to VoiceMeeter in the same way as Mixlr AudioLink, by selecting 'VoiceMeeter Input (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)' as your output device in your external audio software, and 'VoiceMeeter Output (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)' as the input option the Mixlr app.

If you run into any issues using either BlackHole or VoiceMeeter please contact us.
